Noch bis Juni 2008 ist in Bremen der [13teShop] in einer Ausstellung zu sehen. Neben einigen Bildern in schicken Leuchtkästen kann man dort auch den Film auf einem Computer ansehen. [13terShop] ist beim mairisch Verlag in Hamburg erschienen.

In a series of events, the German documentary filmmaker and media artist Florian Thalhofer will present a selection of his interactive films and will talk about his unique form of expression. His works are based on the principle that in reality things occur simultaneously rather than in succession.
Florian Thalhofer has invented the [Korsakow system] (korsakow.com/ksy), an easy-to-use editing software which allows you to publish interactive films on- and offline to suit his particular form of expression. He is the recipient of many awards such as the literatur digital award, the reddot design award, and the Werkleitz Award.

Some of his main projects are:

[13terShop] Florian Thalhofer and Kolja Mensing spent a month in a shopping mall in Bremen to explore life in a shopping heaven.

[LoveStoryProject] The LoveStoryProject is a an ongoing Korsakow film that started in Kairo in 2002 to understand how people perceive love in different parts of the world.

[Forgotten Flags] In this project Florian Thalhofer and Juliane Henrich have tried to explore the feelings of people in Germany about the German flag post-2006 World Cup.

Germans think that showing the national flag is sinister. World Cup soccer in 2006 brought about a notable swing. Germans overcame — temporarily — their fear of association with right-wing nationalism. They were proud of their fatherland and put out flags en masse for the first time.

2562 kilometers – Florian Thalhofer and Juliane Henrich travelled through Germany looking for the forgotten flags of the soccer-world-cup and their owners.

The result is the Korsakow-Film [Forgotten Flags] that was just released on DVD-Rom by Mediamatic, Amsterdam. The DVD comes with a bonus-track: [small world] – Florian Thalhofer’s first nonlinear photo-film on what it is like to grow up in a small town.
